Professionalism

  • Conduct ourselves with honesty, fairness, and integrity by presenting a professional appearance and manner, both on and off the course, at all times.
  • Provide students, peers, and partners with the highest quality instruction, guidance, and support.

Respect for the Game

  • Promote the traditions, spirit, and integrity of golf, encourage sportsmanship, fair play, and enjoyment of the game for all participants.
  • Protect the reputation of the CGTF and avoid actions that may bring disrepute to the organization or the game of golf.

Respect for Students

  • Place the interests and well-being of students above personal gain and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive teaching environment.
  • Adapt instruction to the individual needs and abilities of each student, ensuring equal opportunity for all.

Integrity in Business Practices

  • Conduct all financial, contractual, and instructional arrangements with transparency and fairness, while
  • Accurately represent qualifications, certifications, and services.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest or any actions that could exploit students, facilities, or colleagues.

Continuing Education & Growth

  • Commit to lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Embrace innovation, technology, and modern teaching methods while respecting traditional foundations.
  • Share knowledge and experience with peers to strengthen the CGTF community.

Respectful Conduct

  • Treat all students, colleagues, and golf facility staff with courtesy and respect.
  • Foster an environment free from discrimination, harassment, or misconduct of any kind.
  • Represent the CGTF with dignity in person, online, and in all public communications.

Commitment to Community

  • Promote the growth of golf at grassroots and elite levels across Canada, growing the game with integrity and passion.
  • Support initiatives that make golf accessible and enjoyable for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.

Acknowledgement

By maintaining CGTF membership, each instructor agrees to uphold this Code of Conduct. Violations

may result in disciplinary action, including the termination of membership, as determined by the CGTF.
